Project Summary
An Apple Watch app made to make exercising less strenuous and more enjoyable. Walk It Off helps to have a positive impact on users who need simple improvement to their health.
Walk It Off encourages users to take more walks by pairing it with music or podcasts that will fit the duration of the walk.
Project Challenges
• Design sprint gives a very short timeline
• Small screen size challenges design techniques
Design Sprint Purpose
This design sprint was introduced to challenge us in creating and designing for small screen sizes in a short amount of time.
• 3 hours of studio time to sort out business requirements, target audience, content/features, and prioritization.

• 3 hours of studio time to focus on task flows, initial sketching and paper prototyping for the screens based on our tasks.
• 1 week of independent time to complete high-fidelity wireframes
Business requirements
1. Prove the concept works as a watch app
2. Build reputation and customer base
3. Expand the exercise/entertainment pairing model to other physical exercise formats
Target Audience
Primary: Dog Owners & Walkers
Users who are out walking frequently during the day and need the extra guidance through their walks
Secondary: Work From Home Professionals
Users who stuck inside working but have the freedom to leave their desk throughout the day. Need a relaxing break during their work day that can be perfectly timed to fit their needs.
Tertiary: Leisure Walkers
Users who are already taking daily walks but want the combined nature of fitness and entertainment.
Persona
Given the speedy aspect of this design sprint, we were only able to decide on the persona of our primary target audience.
Content, Features & Prioritization
Out of all of our brainstorming ideas we had to be very selective with our prioritization due to limitations with the screen size but also limitations with the watch itself.
We initially prioritized content/features that were business required but also prioritized a few that we thought we make the app unique from other walking apps out there.
Task Flows
We decided on 5 main tasks that will create a functional app, fit the business requirements, and fit the tasks our target audiences will be doing to use the app.
Due to the watches small screen sizes and quick displays, it allowed us to create for additional tasks since they would be much shorter and quicker than if this was on a smartphone screen or desktop.
Task 1: Set up a new walk
Task 2: Use a preset route
Task 3: View walk summary
Task 4: Customize app UI
Task 5: Sync with a walk buddy
